Over the past four decades Mr. Wallace has forged a highly successful career in the international air cargo industry. He began his career with The Flying Tiger Line Inc. and for the next 25 years helped that pioneering air cargo carrier to establish its global network of scheduled freighter routes, rising through management positions to become its Senior Vice President, International Sales and Services. After Federal Express acquired Tigers, Mr. Wallace directed a major US all-cargo carrier's introduction of its first scheduled service to Asia. He went on to assist Air Hong Kong in acquiring a broad package of international route rights and in successfully adding the B747 freighter aircraft to that carrier's fleet. In 1993, he founded Polar Air Cargo, serving as its CEO and implementing its successful introduction of scheduled all-cargo services to Asia, Australia, Europe and South America. In 2000, he sold his interest in Polar to GE Capital. Shortly thereafter he founded Wallace Air Cargo Group. Mr. Wallace is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Air Transport Association and the US Department of Defense Airlift Committee. In 2009 Mr. Wallace was inducted into TIACA's prestigious Air Cargo Hall Of Fame.
Ms. Muckenthaler has over 15 years experience in accounting and finance since beginning her career as a C.P.A. with the firm of Deloitte and Touche. She joined Polar Air cargo in 1993 as its Controller and, among other projects, was responsible for creating and implementing all of the carrier's accounting, billing and collection systems. Ms. Muckenthaler served in a similar capacity at i-Cargo.com, a web based scheduled air freight booking company before joining Wallace Air Cargo Group as CFO in 2003. She holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration
Mr. Stauffer's career in airfreight began in 1972 and has given him in-depth experience in a wide range of operational and sales issues affecting international all-cargo operations. At The Flying Tiger Line and Federal Express Mr. Stauffer held a variety of positions ranging from station manager to international charter sales. He joined Polar Air Cargo in 1993 as its Vice President Aircraft Resources Management and Vice President of Charter Sales. Mr. Stauffer's areas of expertise include flight operations management, aircraft and crew scheduling, cargo charter and ACMI sales as well as AMC contracts.
Mr. Eichenlaub has over thirty years experience in regulatory and legal issues affecting international air transportation. Before joining Polar Air Cargo as its general counsel, Mr. Eichenlaub was a senior partner in the transportation section of a major Washington D.C. law firm. He represented United Airlines, US Air, and The Flying Tiger Line among others, on a variety of legal and strategic issues ranging from bilateral negotiations to route expansion strategies. Following GE's sale of Polar Air, Mr. Eichenlaub joined Wallace Air Cargo Group.
Ms. Styer has over thirty years experience in airline sales and customer service. She began her career with The Flying Tiger Line and was part of the original Polar Air Cargo management team when Mr. Wallace founded that all-cargo carrier. Her responsibilities at Polar included establishing and supervising a comprehensive customer services department operated 24/7 she was also responsible for capacity planning to facilitate the movement of cargo over an interconnected global route system.
Mr. Perraud's background is in business development, marketing and sales. Before joining Wallace Air Cargo Group in 2006, Mr. Perraud was the President of Direct Spotlight Media, LLC which created and produced multi-media marketing campaigns. As VP Business Development for Natural Golf, he helped guide the company's expansion up to and through a successful initial public offering. His modern perspective on marketing complements the more traditional background of his fellow managers at Wallace Air.
Mr. Smollen's background covers all facets of the air freight industry. Starting his career on the ramp, he then traveled the globe as a Loadmaster, progressing into station and then corporate management. Prior to his current position, he was responsible for worldwide charter, AMC, ACMI and scheduled service cargo operations at Kalitta Air and served as their technical expert on the loading capabilities of the B747-200F & 400F fleet. Prior to joining Wallace Air Cargo and Kalitta Air, Mr. Smollen held various management positions at World Airways and Polar Air Cargo.
